Flowmeter Strife Testing

^ The above picture shows part of the setup for a aerospace flowmeter strife test. The flowmeter was subject to pressure and flow pulses at temperatures from 0 to 100 C. Flometrics designed and built the test setup and programmed a LabView based data acquisition and control system to run the test. Sample pressure and flow pulses are shown below:

This graph shows the pressure pulse. The noise is due to pressure fluctuations from the gear pump, as the pressure pulse was coincident with a flow pulse. The rise time is about 30 milliseconds.

This shows the flow pulse. In this case the rise time is about 90 milliseconds.
