Centrifugal Pump Experiment
Flometrics has designed a centrifugal pump experiment which allows fluid dynamic students and engineers to learn
how impeller design affects pump performance.
Users can measure inlet and outlet pressure, flow rate, motor torque and motor speed to determine the efficiency
of various impeller designs.
Experiment Features:
- Motor, motor controller, centrifugal pump base and pump cover.
- Set of impellers. Includes straight blades, forward and backward curved blades.
- No tools needed required to change impellers.
- Your choice of analog or electronic instrumentation* (i.e. Bourdon tube pressure gauges, rotameter flowmeter,
etc. vs. pressure transducer, electronic turbine flow meters, etc. -- *additional pricing applies).
- Pressure transducers, digital flow meter, motor torque and RPM all can be output to a PC or to Flometrics' Data
Acquisition Station.
- Laboratory instructions/notes included.
