Flometrics provides R&D and engineering services to the aerospace, semiconductor, medical devices and consumer products industries. Flometrics develops engineering solutions quickly and effectively by combining theoretical knowledge with practical capability. We have the knowledge and experience to analyze problems in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics, combined with hands-on capability and an expansive stock of tools and instruments to set up experiments and build prototypes. This helps our customers to develop products on schedule and on budget.

Our typical process is to understand the customer's problem, research patents and scientific literature related to that problem, develop ideas to solve it, analyze the effectiveness of proposed solutions, calculate expected performance and then develop a hardware configuration to test the idea and the analysis. Since we have the capability for analysis as well as build and test, we command the most effective approach to get results quickly. We make the decision to do analysis or test, based on which will get us a working device or system as quickly as possible. Our goal is customer satisfaction based on solid results. We favor the opportunity to build a strong relationship with the customer so they keep coming back to us again and again, mainly because we are much better engineers than salesmen!

We try and avoid the problems caused by excessive analysis (analysis paralysis) or excessive tinkering (cut and try). Once we get the basic design developed, we start calculating the performance or building and testing a representative model as soon as it is practical to do so. This prevents us from wasting the customer's money going down a dead end, or developing a product with a subtle flaw.
